​Programme Details

In response to the coronavirus situation, HKSGV digitalised and restructured most of our programme events into ZOOM, video clips, emails, and phone calls. You may find more details to each event and submission below.

Application Deadline – 5 Feb 2023 (Sun)

​Please submit your application through this LINK on or before 05 February 2023 (Sunday), 23:59 HKT.
 

Opening Ceremony – 11 Feb 2023 (Sat)
The Opening Ceremony (PM Session) was held in ZOOM. All teams were required to attend the Opening Ceremony. HKSGV provided teams Opening Ceremony details with ZOOM link via mass email on 9 Feb 2023 (Thu).
 

Publication of E-materials webpage – 11 Feb 2023 (Sat)
The HKSGV Secretariat uploaded re-shot videos, PowerPoint decks, documents and links on our website on a page called “E-Materials” on 11 Feb 2023 (Sat). These e-materials covered case partners’ sharing on the background of the case questions and guest speakers’ sharing on creating shared value (CSV), shared good values (SGV), corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainable development goals (SDGs), sustainability and case competition writing and presentation techniques. Students were asked to select their case question based on these materials provided.

Case Selection Deadline – 14 Feb 2023 (Tue)
The HKSGV Secretariat provided students with a Case Selection google form 11 Feb 2023 (Sat). Each team was asked to indicate your priorities on case question selection. The deadline for case selection was on 14 Feb 2023 (Tue), 11:59PM. 
 

Announcement of Case Selection Results – 15 Feb 2023 (Wed)
The HKSGV Secretariat announced the result of case question selection via mass email on 15 Feb 2023 (Wed).

FAQ Session – 15 Feb (Wed) - 21 Feb (Tue) 2023

During one week from 15 to 21 Feb, all teams were invited to submit questions to the HKSGV Secretariat via a FAQ google form link. Students may ask HKSGV any questions about the case competition, case questions, case partners, definitions about CSR, CSV and SGV, and other things that they want clarifications on.

 

HKSGV published answers to students' questions on a google doc – which was available to you via a link on 01 Mar 2023 (Wed). The HKSGV Secretariat collected and answered questions on a rolling basis.
 

Preliminary Proposal Submission Deadline – 13 Mar 2023 (Mon)
All participating teams were asked to submit their preliminary proposals in word or PDF formats via a Preliminary Proposal Google form link. The preliminary proposal should be no more than four pages. One of the pages should be an infographic summary of the whole proposal. The deadline for preliminary proposal submission was 13 Mar 2023 (Mon), 11:59PM. We provided students with a suggested preliminary proposal structure and some past reference proposals on 11 Feb 2023 on our “E-Materials” webpage.

 

Announcement of Selected Finalists – 28 Mar 2023 (Tue)
We announced the selected finalist teams for all two case questions on 28 Mar 2023 (Tue). Five finalist teams were selected for each case question. Finalists were asked to take part in our Mentorship Scheme and attend the Grand Finals on 29 Apr 2023 (Sat) and create a social media video to explain their proposal concept, and to prepare a Grand Finals PowerPoint pitch deck. The HKSGV Secretariat contacted the finalist teams and paired each team up with one mentor around 29 Mar 2023 (Wed).

For selected finalist groups (five teams for each case question)

Mentorship Scheme – 29 Mar (Wed) - 29 Apr (Sat) 2023
The mentorship scheme comprised of at least two digital sessions of digital consultations. Team leaders needed to schedule at least two consultations with their assigned mentors before the Grand Finals to seek guidance from the mentors to further refine their preliminary proposals into a PowerPoint pitch decks. 

 

Site Visit 

The site visit to The Pokfulam Farm and The Warehouse Teenage Club for the respective finalist teams would be arranged in April. Further details would be announced later.

Social Media Video Submission Deadline *Optional – 12 Apr 2023 (Wed)
Each finalist team can submit a short social media video that is no more than three minutes to the HKSGV Secretariat on or before 12 Apr 2023 (Wed) *TBC, 11:59PM. We provided students with a Social Media Video link to upload your videos. The HKSGV Secretariat shared submitted videos on our Facebook in the week of mid-April. The most liked videos in each case were given "Best Video" Award. 
 

Grand Finals Pitch Deck Submission Deadline – 25 Apr 2023 (Tue)
All finalist teams are required to submit their revised presentation aids in PowerPoint format to the HKSGV Secretariat by email (connect.hksgv@gmail.com) before 11:59 pm on 25 Apr 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted. The Secretariat reserves the right to disqualify any team that violates the rules and conditions of the Competition.


Grand Finals - Pitch Day – 29 Apr 2023 (Sat)　
The actual time and the event details of the Grand Finals from The Pokfulam Farm and The Warehouse  Teenage Club would be announced later.
