As artificial intelligence and decentralized technologies become widely adopted in Hong Kong classrooms, it is important to ensure their equitable integration benefits all students. In this seminar, our panel of education and technology experts will discuss how AI and blockchain can enhance learning when designed and applied thoughtfully.

Recent pilots have demonstrated the potential of personalized learning and new credentialing systems to make education more accessible, engaging and relevant. However, without safeguards these new tools risk widening existing divides. We will therefore explore strategies for developing AI-driven solutions that are affordable, easy to use and deliver high-quality outcomes for all learners, regardless of background or ability level.

Panelists will share lessons from initiatives focused on inclusion, as well as frameworks for preparing Hong Kong's workforce with universally valuable skills. By considering opportunities, challenges and best practices, we aim to chart a path towards an education system empowered by emerging technologies, while guarding against new forms of inequity.

Anne Yeung is the Founder and CEO of OneChain, a Hong Kong-based blockchain pioneer. With over 15 years of entrepreneurial expertise, focusing on digital transformation, Anne has successfully collaborated with over 50 multinational corporations. As a Certified ESG Planner (CEP®), she is committed to harnessing blockchain technologies for ESG development and advancing sustainable practices in businesses. Driven by a passion for Web3.0, Anne established OneChain in late 2021 to create and launch a series of blockchain ledgering applications that are effortlessly adaptable for product authentication and traceability. After serving as a social worker in the Youth Outreaching Program, Principal Li then started his new career as a teacher in a secondary school. In his twentyish teaching path, he has participated in the Annual Teacher Secondment Exercise in EDB in facilitating school development, and also CEATE assessment panels. Principal Li was also employed as a part-time lecturer in the School of Continuous Education of Hong Kong Baptist University, and The Education University of Hong Kong, endeavoring to provide trainings for kindergarten principals and counselling staff from primary and secondary schools.

Principal Li believes that every kid loves learning - he puts all his effort into improving the quality of education, and students’ whole-person development. Better still, Principal Li pays his attention to the learning and life-career development of the students from the grassroots and minorities in order to facilitate innovative education and to nurture our future leaders.

Jonathan Wong is a versatile artist, excelling as a singer-songwriter, dancer-choreographer, and actor-producer. Having graduated with double majors in Psychology and Modern Dance from Cornell University, he made his mark in the Hong Kong music scene, earning over 50 prestigious awards. Jonathan's major breakthrough performance was showcased on the world's largest televised songwriting competition "Sing My Song" in 2016, where he emerged as the sole Hong Kong representative in David Tao's team of top 6. He has also made notable contributions as a songwriter for acclaimed artists and major events, including writing the TV theme music for the 2022 Olympics.
Additionally, Jonathan has proven his acting prowess in various films and TV dramas, earning a nomination as "Best Supporting Actor" in 2015. He has taken on significant roles in theater productions, such as leading the highly successful musical "The Matteo Ricci." Beyond his artistic achievements, Jonathan actively participates in Performing Artists Guild as well as the Filmmakers' Guild advocating for the rights of local filmmakers and artists through his involvement in these charitable foundations. In recent years, he has dedicated his efforts to developing scripted film and TV projects in collaboration with his agency, William Morris Endeavor, and exploring the realm of mixed reality entertainment through his production company, Octagon Metatainment. Jonathan divides his time between Hong Kong and Los Angeles, further expanding his artistic horizons.
